SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN......
....AND PRETTY SURE LANDON WANTS HIM TO LEAVE!
Poor Landon doesn't know this jolly old man is going to give him presents tonight! He wasn't having any fun at all. Why do parents insist on torturing their kids for that beloved pic with them and Santa? 'Cause it is so darn cute! Mom was trying her hardest to get a "happy"pic of him and the guy in the big red suit. Oh well, there is always next year! (Just look at Santa's face, he is thinking "This is the last year I play Santa!")

Santa brought one of his reindeer and Landon was excited about him at least!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!......Landon is keeping his eyes on Santa!

RUB-A-DUB-DUB......2 BABES IN THE TUB!

Nothing is better than bath-time for these little men. Aren't they the cutest little cousins you have ever seen?! Poor little Landon sort-of blends in with the tub. Sorry kid, but you have TWO pasty parents. There is NO hope for you!

{HAPPY HALLOWEEN}

Looking cute as always!

We had so much fun this year. We took Landon Trick-or-Treating and he loved it! I am pretty sure he just loved being outside and watching all the kids, and Mommy and Daddy loved his treat bucket!! : D

Macie, dressed as Landon; and Landon dressed as a zebra waiting outside Grandma's door for some much needed CANDY!!

The happy trick-or-treaters!

1 Year Check-up

The doctor gave Landon an A+ and told us he is doing great (we already knew that!) He weighs 22 lbs 3 oz (50th percentile--he dropped on the percentile scale quite a bit. But if you know Landon you would understand why. This kid doesn't sit still for a second!) He is 30.5 inches long (around the 75th percentile). He had to get 4 vaccinations this time, and 1 blood draw!! 5 POKES for 1 baby is too much! I felt so bad for the poor little guy. I think he is starting to remember what happens when he gets laid down on the table at the doctor's office. He started to panic and it took 3 of us to hold him down. He recovered quickly, took his binky, and cuddled with Mom.
{Here he is Post-Needle trauma!! Look at his little arm all wrapped up!}
{the T.V. remote always makes him happy--must take after his Dad!}

To Smarter Momma's than Myself: I need some advice! I am really wanting to wean Landon from breastfeeding, but he isn't showing any signs of giving up any time soon (it actually seems like he wants to nurse more!) Any suggestions?! Also, any ideas on how I can get this guy to drink cow's milk? Maybe if he gives up one, he will like the other?!?! Maybe? HELP!!!

Happy Birthday Baby Boy!!

Our little pumpkin turned the big {O.N.E} on the 16th!
.....seriously-where did the year go? I can't believe my baby boy is already 1. It has been quite the year with so many changes. I would have never guessed being a mama would be so wonderful, and oh so difficult all at the same time (and this is only the 1st year)! David and I have loved being parents to our little guy. He is such a sweet little thing (most of the time, lets not talk about 3:00 a.m. right now). Happy Birthday Landon, we love you so much!

Landon's 1st Haircut

Oma is here from California visiting her newest grandson, Jacob. So while we were visiting her at Cindy and Adam's home we decided it was time for that much needed 1st haircut. Even though his hair wasn't the longest-there was definitely some random strands of hair that needed to be cut! He was tossing and turning the entire time, so I was a little worried at how it would turn out. Oma did a great job and it looks great!

Landon decided it was time to work on Oma's hair. It looks like she was getting a little beat up!

HE IS FINALLY HERE!!! : )

My brand-spankin-new nephew! : )

Cindy and Adam's little man finally joined their family last Thursday. They have been waiting for this little guy for the past 7 years!!! Jacob Antonio Fernandez arrived on Thursday morning, weighing 7 lbs 12 oz and he was 19 inches long. He is such an adorable little thing. I can't get enough of him!!

The proud parents looking so happy!

WHAT OUR
{CRAZY}
LITTLE MAN
IS DOING AT 11 MONTHS!!

Once again, I have to say it, I CAN'T believe Landon is turning into such a big boy! Here are a few things he is doing at the moment.

*cruising around everywhere, we are just waiting for him to take his "1st step"
--because of this he obtains a new bruise every hour to various bodyparts!
*loves to give "loves" to Mom, Dad, Macie, pillows, blankets and just about anything he can reach. He will crawl over to us really quickly and put his head down for a second--so cute. I love all the snuggles I can get--even if they only last 1/2 second!
*continues to find the smallest {invisible to mom and dad} object and place in his mouth despite all the "babyproofing" we do.
*loves to dance when music comes on. Even if it is a commercial, he will crawl over to the TV, pull himself up, and start bouncing away-he also shakes his head back and forth like it's heavy metal. So hilarious!
*still {NOT} sleeping through the night.......poor mommy!
*loves bananas, cottage cheese, yogurt, cheerios, and grilled cheese sandwiches! I absolutely cannot get this kid to eat vegetables.
*loves to unfold clothes as mommy is folding them........poor mommy!
*waves bye-bye
*plays peek-a-boo
*starting to throw tantrums......is it too early for this?! If I wipe his nose, or take something away he will scream at the top of his lungs in a horrible high pitch voice--what can I say? He is a redhead! : )

I am continually amazed with how much LOVE I can have for this one little body that makes me go a little bit more crazy each and every day! I am in love with being a mom to this little guy and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

Washington Trip

Last week I took Landon on another summer adventure. We wanted Daddy to come along, but he thought he needed to earn some money while we spent it!! Thanks Daddy!! : ) We traveled up to Washington this time to visit with family and friends. We spent most of the week with some friends we made at BYU-Idaho. Being with them made me realize how much I miss our good old times in Rexburg!!!

Here we are with our lil' ones---it is tough work getting 3 babies to look at
the camera at once. Obviously we failed!

Jamie & Landon (10 months), Keelie(18 months) &Mackenzie, Marlee (19 months) and Asheley

We attempted to take some fun pictures of the kiddos at Asheley's parents home. They live in an adorable old farm house.

Although they look the same size, Keelie is actually 8 months OLDER than Landon!

We took a ferry across the Columbia river. I was a little terrified of driving our car onto the ferry, and I asked Asheley several times if it was safe. Pretty sure she was annoyed with me! :) Of course we had to take pictures of it!

We visited Astoria (where "The Goonies" was filmed) and it was beautiful. Here is a picture of Astoria Column. Inside was a spiral staircase with close to 200 stairs. It was a daunting task hiking those stairs with a babe on your hip!

This is how I felt after arriving at the top!
We finished off the day with a little shopping at some outlets and then enjoyed Seaside! There were a lot of fun little shops and it was beautiful. We didn't stay very long because the bambinos were starting to get very sleepy! We had an awesome day and I loved Oregon.

We also had a chance to visit the Portland Zoo. It was a pretty hot day so the animals weren't very playful. There was also a million kids there for some sort of
day camp so it was packed!! The only thing Landon was really interested in were the little fishies. We thought we saw Daddy when we first arrived.......

Turns out it was just some weird breed of pig!

The last couple of days we spent with David's brother Brian and his wonderful family. Cindy was also visiting them during this time. We had quite a few laughs.....

Don't ask....this is just Brian being his normal self!! My sides were killing me that morning! I'm not quite sure if Landon was a fan. What do you think?!

By the end of the week I was exhausted and ready for Daddy to help out with Landon. He is such a busy body and doesn't like sleeping anywhere else but his own crib. He was up every 1-2 hrs the entire week, but the first night we were home he only woke up once!! LOVELY! Thanks everyone for letting us come and play. We had such an awesome time. We love you!!

California Fun!!

Despite Landon running a fever for 5 days, diarrhea, and a red rash covering his body we survived our trip and actually had some fun too! Landon was such a trooper on our long drive to and from Cali. (luckily his sickness occurred while in California, not on the road) He only had a few minutes total of crying time in the car. Actually, it wasn't even crying. It was just a little whimper stating he was bored out of his mind! We couldn't have asked for a better road trip with him.

Group Photo at the Dodger game
Todd, Jamie, Adam, Cindy, David, Landon, Jamie

I took Landon out during the 7th inning and a worker approached us asking if it was his first game. They gave him a sticker and a cute stuffed animal for his first Dodger game.

Zuma Beach, Malibu, California
Getting ready to catch some waves ; )

1st moments in the sand.

I was a bad Mom and took Landon to the beach despite his flu. I slathered him in sunscreen and Todd & Jamie brought an EZ-up to shade us. With the help of some meds he did really well. He tasted the sand and he didn't like the water so much. I think it was a little to cold for his toes!

That night..........

was David wearing a bikini at the beach? I think so!

In -N -Out to complete our California trip (um....twice, actually)
We are getting Landon addicted a little early! Can you believe he ate half of that hamburger and all the fries? Wow!!

We went to Bakersfield (it was a million degrees there) to visit Todd and Jamie. We enjoyed their cousin's amazing pool. It was so much fun. It was equipped with a slide, diving board, waterfalls, and rocks to jump off. I could have stayed there the entire week!!

These are horrible images, but I just had to post pictures of these monkey's!
They have so much fun together and usually act like they are 5 years old......but they sure do make us laugh. What nerds!
Showing off their HUGE muscles!

I was horrible and didn't get any pictures of Oma. She was wonderful though. Landon loves his Oma and had so much fun in her pool, too!
